Harare city is well laid out and has plenty of things to attract locals & foreign tourists. Having high altitude of 1,492 meters above sea
level, makes it cooler in summer than other parts of Africa. There
are four 3-4 star hotels offering competitive prices, numerous activities & arranging sight seeing tours with in the city or to out-skirts. There
are three beautiful parks in the city center: Harare Gardens,
Green wood park & Africa Unity Square all offering some good out
door activities
for tourists. The National Botanical Gardens is full of
rich flora life & visitors must see it before leaving Harare city. If you
are fond of wild
life then must visit Mukuvisi Woodlands which is
located east of the
city. On your way to Bulawayo City, you will
come across another wonderful wild life park full of big lions &
species from beasts kingdom.
If you are tired of visiting the city
center, try fresh water games in Lake Chivero & you can have
some fresh salty fishes as well at the end of the day. You can
hire boats, diving stuff & surfing boards as well at Lake Chivero. |
